The awesome recipe I printed from weelicious for Baked Pumpkin Doughnuts......
I was reading Ann Voskamp's Blog (where my blog gained it's inspiration) and she linked this blog about divorce and I ran across this man's story about his divorce. His story was so intriguing that I kept reading and learned that they had lost their daughter at about age 9 to cancer. WOW.....this really really hit me hard.....his words were so amazing in this post that I was drawn to reflect on my love for my kids!
And my last one was my mother's beautiful encouraging words in an email......
". . . miss you all so much
i feel like i have really missed out on iree's toddlerhood, just seems like yesterday i was washing bottles for her. trey is getting so grown up and i just know i won't get the cuddle feeling with him any more. you never realize when "the last time" is happening. . .but one day you will realize there was one last time you changed a diaper, wiped a butt, rocked to sleep, combed their hair, read them a story, buttoned their jeans, carried them in the backpack, pushed them on the swing. . .if you knew when it was the "last time" you would be hitting milestones and appreciating them every month! Have you heard the old saying, "When you are raising children the days are long and the years are short" ? so true. I really like the woman my daughter has become. I love you stac. your strength is from on high."
I still can't get over that you made donuts for breakfast. Pumpkin donuts! (I love pumpkin everything). You are such a wonderful mother!
